Medicap Pharmacy of Mooresville, North Carolina is a locally owed pharmacy that opened on January
8, 2001 with the principle that each patient deserves personal, professional care and low-cost prescriptions. Our excellent
store location gives our patients instant access to the pharmacist and our drive-thru prescription window allows for quick
convenient service. Our Medicap Pharmacy location also offers convenient, reliable prescription delivery service for those
patients that cannot make it to the pharmacy to pick up their prescriptions.
Medicap Pharmacy of Mooresville continues
to grow by focusing on new opportunities in the ever-changing healthcare market. We offer private counseling by appointment
on prescription medications and we offer specialized medication compounding for situations when commercially available are
not the best choice for the patient.
Medicap Pharmacy began with the opening of the first retail store in Des Moines,
Iowa, in 1971, then called the Medicine Chest. Over time, the name was changed to Medicap Pharmacy and in 1973, Medicap Pharmacy
started franchising their concept. Medicap Pharmacies, Inc. reached an important milestone in 1993 when the 100th pharmacy
opened for business. In December 2003, Medicine Shoppe International, Inc. (MSI), a Cardinal Health company (NYSE:CAH) announced
the acquisition of Medicap Pharmacies Incorporated, a franchisor of 181 community pharmacies with locations in 34 states.
